Dustin Geesaman was born in Texas and raised in Gold Hill, in the mountains
west of Boulder. He graduated from New Vista High School in Boulder.
Dustin started climbing trees professionally in 2003, under the guidance of James Melton at Magnolia Tree. He joined
Berkelhammer Tree Experts, Inc. in the summer of 2006 and worked for Fred until 2009. A competitive climber, he placed 5th in the 2006 Rocky Mountain
Masters Challenge. Dustin likes to climb trees both on and off the job, and has traveled as far as Washington State
to find interesting ones to climb.
Dustin is also a top level free skier. He has appeared in ski videos, including “Transcendental,” in which he did a double back flip at high speed. (“Transcendental”, incidentally, placed second in a Powder Magazine video competition.) |
